Juan Arias Ph.D. Costa Rica Consultant

Juan Antonio Arias, Ph.D., Costa Rica Consultant, is a native of Costa Rica, and has worked as a Charis trainer and consultant, and university professor in both the U.S. and Costa Rica, for over 10 years. He enables U.S. expatriates and business travelers to build successful relationships with Costa Ricans, or “Ticos.” Since 1997 he has contributed to the successful international start up and ongoing operations of Intel Corporation's factory in Costa Rica.

Juan has trained U.S. employees to understand Costa Rican culture, business and cross-cultural communication. He has also worked with Costa Ricans on assignment to the U.S. to integrate productively to the U.S. work environment. Dr. Arias received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and currently divides his time between the U.S. and San Jose, Costa Rica. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
